Creating Good Stuff on Film & Video

  • WINNER, Videographer Awards (2010) - Director/Producer/Editor/Camera for a promotional video for Andover School of Montessori, a PreK-8th Grade school following the innovative educational methods of pioneer Dr. Maria Montessori. Preparing Your Child for Life has proven to be an effective and important marketing tool for this private school dedicated to honoring each student.
  • WINNER, Award of Merit, Academy of Video Arts & Sciences (2001) for indie documentary "Sandy 'Spin' Slade: Beyond Basketball" - Director/Producer/Editor/Camera for this one-hour Spinumentary™ on the unique occupation and inspiring persona of Sandy Slade, considered the best basketball handler in the world. Performed research, fundraising, budgeting, interviews, production and distribution aspects of this piece, including submission to film festivals, special venues and television stations.   • Director/Producer/Editor/Camera for numerous commercial videos featuring educational and home-based physical fitness games series Skillastics and Fitivities.
  • Director/Producer with crew obtaining multiple interviews and b-roll elements to integrate into national corporate video for AAA.
  • Director/Producer/Editor/Camera for Trust & Believe - a charity music video by LawTown Voice to raise funds for Haiti. This was a one-day marathon shoot with a We Are The World inspired purpose, the brainchild of dance music performer Bylli Crayone.   • Director/Producer/Editor/Camera on two videos supporting the production of the feature film MILLIES, still seeking funding. Go On The Set (below) or witness The Assassination of Lincoln: Teardown of a Century-Old Mill Building.
  • Director/Editor/Camera for Greater Hartford Legal Aid's (GHLA) 50th Anniversary Video, celebrating decades of pioneering advancements in the pursuit of justice for people in poverty.
  • Director/Editor/Camera for fundraising video for Connecticut Women's Education and Legal Fund (CWEALF), a non-profit organization empowering women, girls and their families with the legal tools to achieve equal opportunities in their personal and professional lives.
  • Executive Producer/Editor/Camera for documentary "The Gay Marriage Thing" about the politics, the piety, and the people engaged in the same-sex marriage debate in Massachusetts.
  • Media Mentor to new artists as part of the Women In Film/Video Media Mentor program. Advised college graduates and new-to-the-industry individuals on the business and creative aspects of pursuing their film and video goals. One such mentee went on to earn an Oscar nomination for her gawgeous environmental documentary! ;)
  • Immersed in comprehensive 2-Day Director's Workshop with renowned instructor/director Guy Magar.
  • Director/Producer/Editor/Camera on long-form and short-form videos for The Community Group multi-faceted child care agency. Required multi-location shoots and extreme clarity of vision for the overall large scope and message of the piece.
  • Editor of two montage videos for national dance company’s production of “The Stringmaker.” Consisted of a nature theme and an urban theme with artistic rendering, which were then projected onto a large-scale format.
  • Committee Member - Women In Film/Video Charity Grant committee. Reviewed and selected non-profit applicants to receive a promotional video written, produced and directed by the committee.
  • Director/Producer/Editor/Camera on fundraising video for Adelante! urban youth center, raising money to serve its predominantly low-income minority community.
  • Production Consultant to community-based video production program to get inner-city and minority youth interested in film/video career paths.
  • Managed logistics from locations, studio rental, and transportation to actors and set lockdown as Production Coordinator/Talent Manager on NYC human resources video shoot for international Fortune 500 company.
  • Coordinated talent and crew as Studio Manager for a 3-camera shoot of the instructional video, The Goddess Dancing.
  • Fulfilled Assistant Producer role for an IBM video shot in the heart of Boston. In addition to hiring crew, coordinating support materials, and scouting locations, responsibilities included obtaining all film permits, and acting as a liaison to government, police, and public park officials. Also coordinated logistics for the in-studio green screen portion of this production.
  • Functioned as Researcher and Assistant Producer of a 20-minute documentary celebrating the 70th anniversary of the American Culinary Federation (ACF). Operated teleprompter and coordinated supporting aspects of the production. Gathered extensive assets on the history of this chefs' organization, and worked directly with Producer and Editor to shape the final product.
  • Edited rough cut of a 3-minute piece focusing on the future of the American Culinary Federation, using a Media 100 system.
  • Served as Assistant to the Producer on the independent film "Gavin's Way," written and directed by D.R. Farquharson. Obtained a number of community contributions and assisted with various production and set duties for this low-budget picture.
  • Wrote and produced 4:30 demo tape for the leading syndicator of medical, crime prevention, women's health and education television news in the country. Worked directly with senior editor on shot selection, soundbites, graphics, music and effects.
  • As 2nd 2nd AD on one-hour TV pilot, "Eternal Embrace," locked down set, assisted Art, Craft Services and other departments, and supported 1st and 2nd AD in production capacities.
  • Served as 2nd AD for Greg Joyce's feature-length comedy, "Working Stiff." Responsible for wrangling talent and locking down the set while working with Extras, overseeing make-up & wardrobe, and coordinating production assistants.
  • As Assistant Producer for Ivanhoe Broadcast News, coordinated all aspects of in-house production including script input, voiceovers, audio/video dubs, segment topics research, and correspondence with a national network of freelance producers and TV stations.
